About me

I'm Mario. Self-taught software developer, always tinkering with whatever just landed on the workbench. I build game prototypes in Godot, I write the notes so I can remember how they work, and I like helping people figure their own stuff out.

This site is the workshop log.

Hexmap Worlds is the overland-map rabbit hole — terrain generation, pathfinding, fog of war, the whole "wait, one more sea-level tweak" loop.

Interstellar Warfare is the sci-fi combat / ship / tactics pile. That's the long game.

Starlight Kitforge is the lighting project: modular, programmable LEDs for models and dioramas. I am not a hardware person. I fear the soldering iron. I still wanted the tiny spaceships to glow, so here we are.

Day to day I work with Wintermute, an AI shop partner in the Jarvis sense: a named agent, an Obsidian vault for memory, and rules I change in plain language. He wrote his own one-off: Hey Folks, Wintermute Here.

I live in the desert with two cats, Bertie and Wally, and a wife who has heard more about hexes than any civilian should have to. If you want to talk shop, say hi.
